Director General of Nigeria’s National Intelligence Agency resigns
The Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Abubakar, has announced his resignation on Saturday after meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), explaining that he did that due to personal, family issues.
Penpushing reports that Abubakar was quoted to have told the State House correspondents that the President equally accepted his resignation, adding that after his discussion with Tinubu, he understood well
‘After the briefing, I tendered my resignation and Mr President graciously approved and accepted the resignation. I discussed with Mr President, he understood very well and I promised to remain committed with issues under security situations in the country,” he said.
