David Cameron appointed foreign secretary

The Former Prime Minister in United Kingdom David Cameron has been appointed as foreign secretary following a cabinet reshuffle kicks off in Downing Street, and sacking of Home Secretary Suella Braverman.

Penpushing reports that Braverman provoked widespread condemnation for an article she wrote in The Times, accusing the police of playing favourites with left-wing groups over right-wing and national activists.

The former prime minister was sighted entering Number 10 in the morning, shortly after Rishi Sunak began changing his top team, as it is observed that it is a remarkable return to government for the former Conservative prime minister, in office between 2010 and 2016.

Penpushing further reports that Cameron who was beaming with smiles on his way to the Foreign Office noted that his experience as Conservative Leader for eleven years and Prime Minister for six  will assist him  in helping the prime minister.

“While I have been out of front-line politics for the last seven years, I hope that my experience – as Conservative Leader for eleven years and Prime Minister for six – will assist me in helping the prime minister”, he said.

The newly appointed foreign secretary added that, though he may have disagreed with some individual in decisions made by Sunak, pointing out that the Prime Minister is a strong and capable leader.

Penpushing also reports that Ms Braverman in a statement of reaction to the development said: it has been greatest privilege of her life to serve as home secretary, adding that she would have more to say in due course
