GBENGA DANIEL, AKINTONDE, PROFESSIONAL COLLEAGUES MOURN WALE ADERINALE

Former Governor of Ogun State Otunba Gbenga Daniel and the former Military Administrator, Col Daniel Akintonde and other personalities have expressed dismay over the sudden death of Wale Aderinale, Director News and Current Affairs, Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation(OGBC),Abeokuta.

Penpushing reports that, the journalist died Saturday midmidnight, while he was reported to have slumped when he went to the toilet in his home, and this just about three days after the General Manager of the Station, Diji Akinhanmi was buried following his demise after a minor surgical operation

The former Governor who was shock about the demise of Aderinale who was a member of his press crew during his tenure said, ’this came as a rude shock. I have vivid memories of Wale as a very hard working, forward looking and highly enthusiastic personality. He left too soon. Eternal rest grant him O Lord Amen’

Penpushing further reports that, in the same vein, the former Military Administrator of Ogun State, Daniel Akintonde(rtd) expressed shock on the demise, noting that the death came within a period of weeks when the station lost its General Manager.

‘This is beyond being sad but shocking within a matter of weeks.  May  his gentle soul rest in perfect peace with the Lord. Our Creator will continue to comfort his family.  God knows it all and HE will protect us all’,Akintonde wrote.

The professional colleagues of the deceased were not left out in the condolences and these include, Yusuph Olaniyonu, former Special Adviser to former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who lamented, ‘very sad. May Allah take care of the family he left behind and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss’.

Penpushing also reports that, the General Manager, Nigerian Television Authority(NTA),Akure, Segun Ojelade wrote, ‘Wale was indeed a gentleman.  Very hardworking as a Journalist. May the good Lord stand by his family in this hour of grief and grant the soul of the departed eternal rest’.

The former Chairman, Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) Ogun State Chapter,  Tope Adaramola said, ’what? This is another devastating news from OGBC within this short span of time. He was an amiable gentleman, devoted Christian and a diligent journalist. May the good Lord put an end to this sad tales in 2020. May the Lord also grant the journalists confraternity and those he left behind fortitude to bear this painful loss’.

Penpushing reports that, former Permanent Secretary with the Ogun State Ministry of Information, Yetunde Kujore said, ‘this is really a big shock  Wale was a hard working quiet and very efficient journalist you will be sorely missed .May God comfort his family and all of us. it is indeed sad’

The Director in the Ogun State Ministry of Information, Kehinde Onasanya could not immediately comprehend the sad development and in his condolence and shocking message wrote, ’Wale Aderinale, a  thoroughbred  professional is gone!!!!. May the Almighty God grant the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.  His life was so gentle and the elements so mixed in him that even nature could attest to this .

Penpushing further reports that, a veteran journalist and former Director, National Broadcasting Commission(NBC) Eddy Aina called on need  for the establishment to organize a multi-religious prayer sessions to avert such sad happenings at the station

‘This is unbelievable, sad and tempestuous. Yes tempestuous happening to the same organization coming on the heels of Diji’s sad loss. What a death.The management must organize a multi-religious prayer sessions to include traditional worshippers to ward off this strange deaths. It happened to us at NTA Abeokuta and that was what we did to stop it. God grant him eternal rest’, Aina emphasied.
