Dangote Company acknowledges Ogun state as business friendly environment

The Dangote Group of Company on Thursday admitted that Ogun State is a friendly business environment which has continued to add values to its operations across the state and outside the country.

Penpushing reports that Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations, Fatima Aliko-Dangote made this known on the occasion of Dangote Special Day at the ongoing 15th Gateway International Trade Fair in Abeokuta.

The Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations represented by Tunde Mabogunje, Regional Sales Director, Lagos said the company saluted Ogun State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun for providing conducive atmosphere for businesses to thrive

‘We salute the Ogun State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and the Ogun State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) for hosting this year’s fair and for sustaining a platform that truly drives enterprise and investment’, Aliko-Dangote said.

Penpushing further reports that she emphasized that Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) as a lead sponsor) is proud to stand with the state government and chamber of commerce to deepen commerce, strengthen value chains, and open markets for manufacturers, MSMEs and consumers across the region.

‘Our participation this year dovetails with Dangote Vision 2030, our enterprise-wide plan to accelerate industrial expansion, spur cross border investments, and reduce import dependence in strategic sectors’, she added.

Penpushing also reports that the Group Executive Director stated that it was encouraging celebrating a partnership that builds competitiveness, stressing that Ogun state is a proven industrial hub.

‘Ogun State is a proven industrial hub. Our long-term investments here underscore our belief in the State’s competitiveness and in the power of public–private collaboration’, Aliko Dangote stated

‘Ogun state proudly hosts the Ibese plant—12Mta installed capacity—anchoring local supply, exports and jobs. We are also executing a new 6Mta integrated cement plant at Itori to expand capacity, deepen supply chain linkages and boost exports to West Africa’.

Penpushing reports that she pointed out that guided by Vision 2030 roadmap, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has unveiled an expansion plan from 650,000 bpd to 1.4 million bpd, targeting completion within three years—an upgrade that strengthens regional energy security, creates jobs, and scales allied industries including polypropylene.

‘Beyond Nigeria, we are partnering with Ethiopian Investment Holdings on a $2.5bn Urea fertiliser complex in Gode—designed for up to 3 MTPA—to support agricultural productivity and regional exports, reflecting our continent wide commitment to food security’, she added.

‘Regional Self Reliance: In Côte d’Ivoire, our 3Mta grinding plant was commissioned recently, lifting group capacity and supporting regional trade flows—another milestone in Africa’s march to industrial self-sufficiency’.

‘These investments complement Ogun State’s enabling reforms and infrastructure push, which the State has consistently articulated through OGUNCCIMA and at this fair—further proof that policy consistency plus private sector execution is the formula for sustained competitiveness’.

‘What does this mean for Ogun businesses and households-Our commitment is practical and immediate better access, better prices. This is our way of bringing everyday value to households and small businesses while gathering real time feedback that shapes product improvements’

‘As we scale capacity in Itori alongside existing operations in Ibese, we will continue to prioritise Ogun based suppliers, transporters, artisans and SMEs—because every naira we localise multiplies jobs and growth across communities’.

Penpushing further reports that the company pointed out that this year’s edition of the trade fair, holding from February 6–16, 2026, is themed “Promoting Businesses through Partnership”—a message that could not be more timely or more aligned with our values.
