DAMAGED ROAD: OGUN GOVERNMENT ASSURES RESIDENTS OF QUICK INTERVENTION

The Press Officer, Seun Boye  in the statement said, the Deputy Governor also advised motorists and pedestrians to be careful on the road and not go to the scene for sight-seeing due to imminent danger around the area, and   urged passers-by to desist from wandering around the scene.

“We are here for an on the spot assessment and will report back to the Governor, Prince  (Dr) Dapo Abiodun,  so that the plight of the people can be ameliorated.  From the inspection, we have realised that one of the biggest challenges here is that one of the culverts across the road has a very low capacity for the volume of water that flows during the rain. she revealed.

Penpushing further reports that, Salako-Oyedele assured residents that work would commence on one side without completely closing the road and once that is done, work will commence on the other side so that people will not suffer any hardship when it rains again.

The Deputy Governor, however cautioned motorists, passers-by and residents of the area to obey any instructions given to them in the course of repairing the road.
