COURT OF APPEAL AFFIRMS FAYEMI’S ELECTION AS EKITI GOVERNOR

The same petition had earlier dismissed by the Ekiti State Election Tribunal after it ruled that the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) failed to prove the allegations in its petition, while it is recalled that the party had approached the Tribunal after it alleged massive rigging of the election by the  All Progressives Congress(APC).

Penpushing recalled that, Fayemi, a former Minister under the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) was declared the winner after he polled 197,459 votes in the election, but  Kolapo and Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) had vowed to challenge the decision consequently resulting in the petition at the Court of Appeal
