Company Director slumps, dies as N2.5 billion alleged fraud trial set to commence

The Chairman of Pinnacle Communications Limited, Lucky Omoluwa who is facing criminal charges of digital switchover fraud to the tune of N2.5 billion .instituted against his company by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) has died

Penpushing reports that, the company boss whose trial alongside his company and Modibbo Kawu, the suspended head of the federal broadcast regulator, the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission was scheduled to commence was reportedly slumped on Tuesday and thereafter died  at the National Hospital, Abuja.

The company of the late Omoluwa, a golfer and top philanthropist, was allegedly used by his alleged collaborators to carry out the suspicious transactions investigated by the the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission(ICPC) .

Penpushing further reports that as at the time of filing this report,  spokesperson for Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences( ICPC) Rasheeda Okoduwa, was yet to issue official statement about the potential impact of  Omoluwa’s  deathon the ongoing trial.
