
Committee of Friends plans annual lecture in memory of Tunde Oladunjoye
A Committee of Friends have concluded arrangements in memory of Ambassador Tunde Oldunjoye, popularly called ‘CATO’, who died at 58, a year ago in London Hospital after an ailment, and buried in Ijebu-Itele his hometown in Ogun State.
Penpushing reports that the committee of friends with Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji as Chairman and Olori Toyin Banjo, Secretary in a statement said the memorial lecture is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The statement added that the lecture for the ceremony is ‘The Pen, The Truth and The Burden of Responsibility: The Legacy of Ethical Journalism’, to be deliver by former Deputy Speaker Ogun State House of Assembly. Hon Remmy Lawal

Penpushing further reports that the committee in the statement explained that the ceremony will take place between 1-4pm, adding that number of guests which include individuals, organisations and other stakeholders will be in attendance

The committee stated that as at the time of filing this report, all arrangements are in perfect shape in ensuring a befitting memorial lecture for Oladunjoye, who until his death was a vibrant journalist, politician and human right activist.
