CARETAKER COMMITTEE HAS CONSTITUTIONAL POWER TO OVERSEER OGUN ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS AFFAIRS- OLADUNJOYE
The Caretaker spokesman in a statement posited that, ‘there is one only one party according to the electoral law and in line with the party constitution, that party is the national headquarters of the any political party’, which set up the committee with the party constitutional power.
‘Our Committee was set up by the APC National Working Committee (NWC), an organ of the Party that has the constitutional power to do so. We are not to join issues with anyone, including the governor, but to breathe new life into the party, promote peace and cohesion and renew the hope of our members in all the nooks and crannies of Ogun State and be on the same page with the national body.
Penpushing further reports that, Oladunjoye explained that the caretaker committee was not a group or caucus, as the Governor’s utterances suggested, but to bring every members together and re-energise towards the party electoral victory
The statement reads, ’the caretaker committee is not a committee of a group or caucus or a particular tendency. It is not a fighting machine. Our mandate is to bring everybody together and reenergize their commitment to the party and it’s electoral victory at all levels’.
‘Nobody or group would be attacked, abused or victimized. We are all members of the same house under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, we will renew, realign, and rebuild our party for total victory at the 2019 polls by God’s grace’, Oldunjoye emphasised.
