Campaign calamity: All Progressives Congress member dies at rally

A member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker, identified as Sobur Olawale popularly called Omititi was reported to have slumped and died at the Presidential rally of the party on Tuesday in Jos, Plateau State Capital

Penpushing reports that, the late lawmaker representing Mushin constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was said to have been rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead

The cause of the death was unknown as at the time of filing this report, and when contacted the Publicity Secretary of the Party in the State, Sylvanus Namang, could not affirm the authenticity of the incident, but said he heard about it

“I heard about it this evening but I am not in the position to say anything, maybe you should contact the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives’, Namang said

Penpushing further reports that, a top management of the hospital where the deceased was rushed also said he heard about the same news, adding that,from findings the lawmaker was brought in dead, saying he could not say much on it

‘There is something like that, the man was brought in dead, I don’t know his identity but I think the State Government is handling the situation, I cannot say much for now”, the hospital official said
