Business breakthrough in Nigeria is herculean task, says Modupe George

The Chief Executive Officer of Delitesom Band Health Food a subsidiary of Blessed band Nigeria Limited, Mrs Module George  has called on government on need to support Small Medium Enterprises(SME’s) with adequate loan to upgrade their businesses.

Penpushing reports that, George made the call in an exclusive interview at the 10th Gateway International Trade Fair held at the MKO Abiola tradefair complex, located at Oke- Mosan, Abeokuta.

The woman who returned from United Kingdom after spending ten years to start her business about three years ago disclosed the challenges involved in fund raising for her business which she identified as numerous.

“The challenges are so many for a business like this ,for someone who is not getting any loan or support from the government or bank .so many yet to overcome and some would have  overcome because the challenges comes in various ways for instance the machines we use

Penpushing further reports that, George explained that the challenges are numerous for a business like hers and for a person not getting any assistance from the government or bank in the aspect of purchase automated machines in replacement of manual equipments.

The Chief Executive Officer of the company said the automated machines are costly, hence, need for adequate funds to get them, adding that the only bail out to secured them is by taking loans, stressing ” because in our production line we do have machines and the machines are not cheap and we need funds to get them”. George lamented

Penpushing also reports that, the Delta State born business woman pointed out what government put in place to help the micro, small and medium enterprises like the B.I.O and the CBN NASSA loan .

“I know government is trying to put one or two things in place to help the micro, small and medium enterprise like B.I.O  and the CBN NASSA loan for machines but getting them are not easy for instance the CBN NASSA loan’.

Penpushing reports that, George disclosed that she has attended the enterprises development training, lamenting that having applied for loan after an interview was yet to get a positive response from the authorities

.The woman who worked with John Louise Waitrose a supermarket while in London explained that back home her company has distributors in Lagos adding that the internet have equaly made things easy where you can place order and the company deliver to customers nationwide.

Penpushing further reports that, she advised Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) not to be discourage by any challenges, rather should remained focus, adding being focused will make their dreams come reality.
