Buruji Kashamu’s son appointed Minority Whip Ogun State House of Assembly
The son of late billion politician Buruji Kashamu, Hon Rasheed Kashamu representing Ijebu-North constituency at the Ogun State House Assembly has been appointed as the Minority Whip of the 10th Assembly.
Penpushing reports that Kashamu appointed was made known alongside other appointed principal officers of the assembly for the smooth running of the chambers which was inaugurated on Tuesday
The Speaker of the Assembly Rt Hon Kunle Oluomo presided over the plenary session explaining that the announcement of the principal officers followed internal arrangements amongst the lawmakers.
Penpushing further reports that other appointed officers include: member representing Ado-Odo/Ota Constituency Hon Yusuf Sherif as Majority Leader, while his Sagamu 2 counterpart, Hon Adeniran Ademola emerged as the Deputy Majority Leader and the member representing Ijebu-Ode constituency Hon Olanrewaju Bakare emerged as the Chief Whip.
The lawmaker representing Abeokuta North constituency Hon Babatunde Tella was appointed as Deputy Chief Whip, while Hon Lukman Adeleye representing Odogbolu constituency was appointed as the Minority Leader, and his Abeokuta South 1 constituency Hon Lukmon Atobatele became Deputy Minority Leader and Hon Dickson Awolaja of Remo constituency appointed Deputy Minority Whip
