
Penpushing member, Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi loses mother
A member of Penpushing platform and prominent human rights attorney Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi has lost her mother, Princess Margaret Akiyode nee Omorogbe to the cold hands of death on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at age 89.
Penpushing reports that the bereaved daughter who is the founding Director of Women Advocates Research and Documentation Center (WARDC), a Non-Governmental Maternal and Reproductive explained that Mama was receiving treatment at the Faith Clinic situated at Ajao Estate, Lagos State when death came calling
‘With gratitude to God with life well spent, the family of late Engr J. Akiyode of Abeokuta, Ogun State announces the passing unto glory of their matriarch Princess Margaret Akiyode(nee Omorogbe) from Uselu Benin city, the mother of Dr Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi aged 89 years’, a statement read.
The family, however, said burial arrangement will be made public as soon as meeting is held to work towards given the deceased a deserving burial, and called on friends and sympathizers to commiserate with them for now.
