British Nurse arraigned over alleged murder of eight babies
A 30 year old British Nurse, Lucy Letby has been arraigned before Warrington Magistrate Court in the North-Eastern town for allegedly murdering eight babies in the neonatal ward of a Chester Hospital in Chester
Penpushing reports that, the accused is also facing charges on a further 10 counts of attempted murder, relating to the period between June 2015 and June 2016 while she was working at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
The charge showed that, all the victims were toddlers, while investigation into a number of suspicious deaths at the hospital’s neonatal ward was first launched more than three years ago
Penpushing further reports that, the accused spoke in court only to confirm her name, date of birth and where she lives, while the District Judge, Nicholas Sanders told the court the case would be sent to Chester Crown Court.
Meanwhile, the judge announce that and Letby would appear on Friday, and was subsequently remanded in custody until the hearing.
