Nigerian Police Public Relations Officers to converge on Ibadan for capacity building workshop

The Nigerian Police Force Public Relations Officers across the country will on Monday converge on Ibadan, Oyo State Capital for one-day intensive capacity building workshop, to further broaden their knowledge

Penpushing reports that, the annual conference with the theme, ’Strengthening  Strategic Communication Towards Police Reforms, Security and Integrity of 2023 Election’, will be declared open by the Inspector General of Police.

The Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde will also grace the events alongside other dignitaries which include Media Executives,, Public Relations Practitioners from other security agencies, Public Relations expert.

Penpushing further reports that other stakeholders to attend include members of Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), African Public Relations Association (APRA), Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), as well as other critical stakeholders in the Public Relations sector

The workshop is scheduled to hold December 12, 2022 at Kakanfo Inn and Conference Centre in the town, while the Mayee Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oloye Lekan Alabi is to deliver a goodwill message among other stakeholders.

Penpushing also reports the beneficiaries of the workshop will include the 37 Commands Public Relations Officers covering the 36 states of the federation, and Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, as well as 17 Zonal Police Relations Officers and Liaison Officers of Police Formations

Meanwhile, the other participants at the intensive capacity building workshop are the Staff Officers of the Force Public Relations Departments based in the Force Headquarters Abuja and the Force Headquarters Annex in Lagos State
