Bode Mustapha becomes Osi-Egba of Egba Kingdom
A frontline Egba indigene, Chief Bode Mustapha has added another feather to his cap following his elevation to the position of Osi-Egba in ancient town of Abeokuta, the Ogun State Capital, as announced and approved the government
Penpushing reports that, the appointment of Mustapha popularly called ‘BM’ was made known in a letter from the Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, dated December 1, 2020.
The letter with reference number CHM.2/66/482, signed by Director, Chieftaincy Affairs, Adesoji Adewuyi on behalf of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, explained that the approval was done by the Executive Council of the State.
‘I have the greatest pleasure to inform you that in accordance with section 23(1) of the Chiefs Law, Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria,2006, the Executive Council of Ogun State of Nigeria has approved your appointment as Osi- Egba with effect from 1st December,2020’on page
Penpushing further reports that, the letter emphasized that, a legal notice of the appointment will be published in the Ogun Ogun State Gazette in due course, as the government expressed congratulatory to Mustapha
‘I am to convey to you on behalf of the State Government, hearty congratulations on this appointment and wish you good health, long life and many years of service to Egbaland. A legal notice of this appointment will be published in the Ogun State Government Gazette in due course. Once again accept my hearty congratulations’, Adewuyi wrote
