Be a man of your words, Oyo state workers tell Governor Makinde

The new acting chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, (NLC) Oyo State council, Comrade Kayode Matins has charged the governor of the State, Engr. Seyi Makinde to continue to be a man of his word by taking welfare of workers in the state as his priority
Penpushing reports that Matins said that workers in the state has had a bad time before, during the tenure of the immediate past Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, saying that Makinde was like a saviour to the workers because he has been doing his best to workers in the state by payment of salary as at when due, and, payment of gratuity and pension of the pensioners
The labour boss while speaking with journalists over the week end at the press center, Iyaganku, Ibadan, noted that governor Makinde has been fulfilling his promises to workers in the state by attending to their needs since he has came on board as the governor of the state, adding that the governor should continue to be a man of his words
Penpushing further reports that while asked what he intend to brings on board as the new congress boss in the state, Matins, who is also the current chairman, Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Oyo State chapter said that his immediate predecessor, Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo has laid a solid foundation which he will worked on, adding that there would be improvement in the welfare of the entire work force of the State.
“I will make sure that the law guiding our operations are improved, and also to make sure that there is conducive atmosphere for workers in the state to operate, and workers in the state are also ready to discharged their duties diligently.
Penpushing recalled that, the immediate past Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) Chairman in the State, Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo has just been elevated to the post of a Permanent Secretary by Governor Makinde
