Bandits kidnap 20 villagers in Kaduna state
Bandits have kidnapped over 20 persons in Unguwan Gimbiya in Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State in the early hours of Friday after storming the community, and also killed two people.
Penpushing reports that, the Kaduna State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige, who confirmed the incident said the bandits arrived the community at about 1 a.m., killing two people and taking away 20 residents before the arrival of security operatives.
The police spokesman said as at the time of filing this report, a combined team of security operatives have launched a manhunt for the kidnappers with a view to rescuing the kidnapped victims and arresting the criminals.
Penpushing further reports that, a resident in the community identified as Gyara Guga added that as at the time of this report, he could not ascertain number of those kidnapped, but emphasised that many people were kidnapped, as well as many houses in the area attacked
