Bandits dare Governor, storm hometown, abduct unspecified number of students

The bandits have dared Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State, as they stormed Maradun, hometown of the Governor located in Maradun Local Government Area of the state, where they abducted unspecified number of students

Penpushing reports that, the bandits on Wednesday afternoon allegedly stormed Government Day Secondary School, Kaya, and kidnapped the students in their school, while few of the students and teachers managed to escape.

The Government source, as at the time of filing this report, said the Governor has been informed of the abduction and was holding a security meeting over it with some of his top aides and commissioners.

Penpushing further reports that a top Government House source in Gusau said the meeting which also include the heads of the various security agencies in the state, will issued out press statement afterwards.

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the Zamfara State Police Command was yet to make any official statement over the ugly development, while efforts to get the Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Shehu, was yet unsuccessful
