ASSAULT SAGA: POLICE ARRAIGN NIGERIAN SENATOR, GRANTED N5 MILLION BAIL

The Senator had earlier made a public apology, to Nigerians and the victim over his misconduct, but was later invited by the police for interrogation, spent a night in police custody and on completion of the investigations he was arraigned in court

Penpushing further reports that, the Magistrate, however, granted bail of N5 million to Elisha Abbo, with order that he must present two competent sureties to the court to secure his appearance in subsequent hearings on the criminal charges.

Meanwhile, the accused is expected to immediately meet the bail conditions and go home from the court rather than being hauled to prison, police sources told Penpushing.
