Armed robbers write to notify community of attack in Ogun State

A gang of suspected armed robbers have written residents of Onikoko area of Abeokuta South Local Government of Ogun State, of their plans to invade the community, declaring to the inhabitants to be aware of the proposed attack.

Penpushing reports that the  residents woke up on Saturday to see the notice pasted on walls of many of the buildings in the community with the bandits declaring that they would be coming to collect what they tagged, ’what belong to us’

‘We armed robbers are using this medium to notify you that we are coming to pay you visit very soon in this community to collect what belongs to us. Go out and tell the landlord, land ladies, tenants and visitors that we are coming to visit them very soon .Thanks’, the notice reads

Penpushing further reports that, in response to the notice, number of residents said they have reported the planned robbery attack to the police, adding that on the community part, they would also introduce community policing to respond to the bandits if they carry out the threat.

The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi when contacted said, the command has already beef security around the state, adding that the said notice by the suspected armed robbers remained an empty threat.

Penpushing also reports that, Oyeyemi said no criminals would be allow to operate successfully in the state and environs, declaring that bandits would always meet their waterloo, stressing that, the police are ready for them.

‘We have already beef security around the state. The said notice by the suspected armed robbers is an empty threat, they will be dealt with, and they will always meet their waterloo. Many of them have been killed in recent time, let them come they would not be spared’, Oyeyemi emphasized
