APPEAL COURT SACKS MELAYE AS SENATOR

The controversial politician was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2007 to represent Kabba/Ijumu federal constituency, and having  served two terms he later won election as a Senator in 2015 and in February 2019 he was declared the winner of the Senatorial poll to serve another term in the Senate.

Penpushing further reports that, the judgment delivered by the Appeal Court showed that  Smart Adeyemi  of the All Progressives Congress(APC)  prevailed over  Melaye, Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC)
