Amotekun operatives allegedly kills 21-year-old man in Ibadan

The operatives of the Oyo State Security Network, also known as Amotekun, have allegedly killed a 21-year-old man, Tosin Thomas in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Penpushing reports that the incident happened on Thursday when operatives of the new security outfit set up by Governors in the South West Nigeria shot Thomas at Mokola area of the state and thereafter died as a result of the gunshot he sustained.
The Police Command Public Relations Officer, CSP. Olugbenga Fadeyi in a statement made available to journalists confirmed the killing of Thomas who was pronounced dead at the University College Hospital, (UCH) Ibadan.
“A report was received from one Alamu Timothy at Mokola Police station today 14/01/202 and alleged that one Tosin Thomas ‘m’ 21 years of Ode Olo area Ibadan, while going home at Total Filing station Mokola Ibadan on 13/01/2021 at about 1130 HRS, was hit by bullets from gun fired by Amotekun operatives.He was rushed to University College Hospital (UCH) for immediate medical attention and thereafter was confirmed dead by medical personnel’.
Penpushing further reports that, Fadeyi , however said that investigation has commenced into the matter adding that additional development shall be unfold to the public as soon as possible.
