Amotekun arrests two suspected goats’ theives
Two persons have been arrested by the Osun State Command of the security network known as Amotekun for allegedly stealing goats, and were subsequently paraded on Tuesday, as the authorities described them as serial robbers
Penpushing reports that the field Commander of the Corps, Segun Oladipupo, while parading the suspects gave their identities as Wale Samuel and Sulemon Garuba, adding that the command received intelligence reports from their colleagues in Oyo State.
The Commander said the suspects have been identified as specialized in stealing goats in Osogbo town and environs, adding that they were conveying the stolen goats with a bus to an unknown destination when the corps intercepted them.
“We were notified by some operatives in Ibadan, Oyo State that some criminal are engaging in stealing of goats. We decided to bust some places and discovered some suspects with a bus carrying goats. The suspects used beans and onions to cover those goats which according to suspects were picked at differents location in Osogbo and Ibadan”, he said
Penpushing further reports that, Oladipupo assured that the suspects will be handed over to the police and charged to court after investigation has been concluded, adding that the arrested suspects have confessed to committing the crime.
