Amosun empowers ogun state journalists with ‘second address’ equipment

The former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Saturday donated empowerment equipment to Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Ogun State Council, gestures said to be  palliative measure tailored towards cushioning the effect of the biting economy in the country,

Penpushing reports that items presented by the former Governor through Alhaji Jelili Okewale and handed over to the leadership of the council include: Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines and Generating set, which will be distributed amongst members

The donor who is a serving Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly said he would spare no strength nor efforts at putting smiles on the faces of the citizens irrespective of their professional leanings.

Penpushing further reports that Amosun congratulated the new executives on their emergence at the just concluded council election and expressed happiness that the close-to-four years crises which nearly crippled the union was finally resolved.

The Chairman of the Council, Wale Olanrewaju who took the delivery alongside the Secretary, Bunmi Adigun in his remarks commended the initiative, stressing that the gesture would go a long way in empowering journalists in Ogun State, especially those who are owed groaning in pains as orchestrated by nonpayment of their salaries by their proprietors.
