America is going to ‘run’ Venezuela after capturing President Maduro, says Trump

The United States of America (USA) has declared that it will run Venezuela until a safe transition, and this follows the captured of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores by the American authorities.

Penpushing reports that President Donald Trump, made the declaration during a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday, adding that the United States of America (USA) will be very strongly involved in Venezuela’s oil industry.

“We are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper and judicious transition. We can’t take a chance that somebody else takes over Venezuela that doesn’t have the good of the Venezuelan people in mind … We’re going to run it, essentially, until such time as a proper transition can take place’, he emphasized

“We’re going to have our very large US oil companies, the biggest anywhere in the world, go in, spend billions of dollars, fix the badly broken infrastructure, the oil infrastructure, and start making money for the country and we are ready to stage a second and much larger attack if we need to do so’, Trump added

Penpushing further reports that Trump had earlier said Maduro and Flores were taken to a ship after their kidnap by American forces adding that they will be taken to New York, just as the Attorney General, Pam Bondi, said the deposed Venezuelan leader and his wife, would face criminal charges in New York, which the American Secretary of state, Marco Rubio, said would relate to the drug trade.

Penpushing also reports that the United Nations (UN) Secretary General, António Guterres, through a spokesperson Stéphan Dujarric said the action by the United States of America (USA) sets a dangerous precedent.

“The secretary general continues to emphasise the importance of full respect – by all – of international law, including the UN charter. He’s deeply concerned that the rules of international law have not been respected’, he said.

Penpushing reports that Brazil’s President, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, said that the America actions crossed an unacceptable line, comparing them to the darkest moments of America interference in Latin America and the Caribbean – an apparent reference to the dozens of American military interventions in the region over the past two centuries.

The China’s foreign ministry hit out at hegemonic behaviour by the United States of America (USA), and emphasized that it threatened peace and security in Latin America and the Caribbean.

“China is deeply shocked and strongly condemns the use of force by the US against a sovereign country and the use of force against the president of a country. We urge the US to abide by international law and the purposes and principles of the UN charter and stop violating the sovereignty and security of other countries.”

Penpushing further reports that the European Union(EU) Commission President, Ursula Von Der Leyen, as well as the Danish foreign minister said international law should be respected.

France reiterates that no lasting political solution can be imposed from the outside and that only sovereign people themselves can decide their future.”

Penpushing also reports that the Spain’s Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez said, though his country does not recognise the Maduro regime, and quickly explained that neither will it recognise an intervention that violates international law which America did

“Spain did not recognise the Maduro regime. But neither will it recognise an intervention that violates international law and pushes the region toward a horizon of uncertainty and belligerence. We call on all actors to think of the civilian population, to respect the United Nations Charter, and to articulate a fair and dialogued transition.”

Penpushing reports that it would be recalled that earlier on Saturday, Yolanda Díaz, one of Spain’s Deputy Prime Ministers, said the United States of America (USA) had violated both the United Nations (UN) charter and international legality.

“We roundly condemn this imperialist attack on Venezuela. The world is less safe and less free since Trump and the international hate movement began acting with impunity. We will always be on the side of international law and peace’, she added

Penpushing further reports that  update of the development showed that as at the time of filing the report the plane carrying Maduro, and his wife  has landed at New York’s Stewart Air National Guard Base, while as the plane  touched down on the tarmac, a number of law enforcement agents have gone aboard.

The sources however,disclosed that Maduro , he will be flown by helicopter to the Westside Heliport in Manhattan and will be driven to the United States of America (US) Drug Enforcement Administration’s headquarters there for booking, according to US media reports.
