Alleged ‘sex maniac’ bank managing director forced to proceed on leave
The alleged ‘sex-maniac’ Managing Director of First City Monument Bank Limited, Adam Nuru, said to have fathered two children of a married woman, Moyo has been ordered to proceeded on leave to enable the bank investigate the allegations against him.
Penpushing rports that, the management of the bank gave the order and subsequently appointed Yemisi Edun as its Acting Managing Director explaining that the decision was important to guarantee the sanctity of its investigations, stressing it is aware of several stories circulating across the globe about the embattled Managing Director .
“We are aware of several stories circulating across several media platforms about our bank’s Managing Director, Adam Nuru; a former employee, Mrs Moyo Thomas, and her deceased husband, Mr Tunde Thomas,” the statement said.
“While this is a personal matter, the tragedy of the death of Mr Tunde Thomas and the allegations of unethical conduct require the bank’s board to conduct a review of what transpired any violations of our code of ethics and the adequacy of this code of ethics.
“This is already under way. During the period of the review, the managing director has volunteered to proceed on leave. This will guarantee the sanctity of the review process.”
Penpushing further reports that, following the ugly development, over 1,900 people signed a petition asking the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to sack Nuru, while it is on record that the bank has been in the eye of the storm lately when allegations of “unprofessional romance” were leveled against its Managing Director.
The petitioners alleged that the Managing Director of the First City Monument Bank(FCMB) Limited was responsible for the demise of Tunde Thomas, the former husband of the controversial wife.
Penpushing also reports that, the petition emphasized that, Nuru allegedly engaged in an affair with his staff, Moyo Thomas, who was the deceased’s wife, resulting in two children, a development said to have led to depression for Thomas who gave up the ghost on December 16, 2020.
The petition alleged that the controversial wife had informed her husband (Thomas) that she was leaving Nigeria for the United States of America (USA) with the kids only to call him upon arrival that the children do not belong to him.
