Allegation of massive fraud rocks Gateway Mortgage Bank, police launch investigation, arrest of suspect
A massive fraud is allegedly rocking the Gateway Mortgage bank located in Oke-Ilewo/Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ibara axis of Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital, which has led to the arrest of some individuals.
Penpushing reports that sources said about N50million was involved in the fraud, which has been linked to hacking of account, as well as petition said to have been written by some aggrieved staff of the institution.
The findings by Penpushing Media revealed that a mild drama has been introduced to the case, following arrest, release and re-arrest of suspects within interval of the discovery of the fraud.
Penpushing further reports that Divisional Police Headquarters in Abeokuta is said to be handling the case, which is expected to be transfer to the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Seyi Babaseyi when contacted confirmed the development, explaining that the case is under investigation, adding that necessary parties have been invited
