All Progressives Congress Governors meet with Tinubu ahead of Thursday’s National Executive Committee meeting

The Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) on Wednesday met with President Bola Tinubu ahead of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party scheduled for Thursday.

Penpushing reports that Chairman of the forum Governor Hope Uzodinma after the meeting was reluctant to tell journalists what Nigerians should expect from the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party

The Chairman, however, said the meeting was held to strengthen the party and enhance its capacity to deliver good governance to Nigerians, but when asked whether any major decisions are expected at the meeting, he declined to shed light

Penpushing further reports that it was not clear if the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling party will take a definite position on the zoning of the position of national chairman of the party following the recent resignation of Abdullahi Ganduje from the position.

The former chairman, it would be recalled on his resignation claimed he did that for health reasons, but has since assumed his new role as the chairman of the board of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Penpushing also reports that Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano State, is from the North-West, while the position of National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) is expected to be zoned to the North-Central.
