Alaafin of Oyo’s queen walks out of marriage, says she was under bondage
The embattled wife of Alaafin Lamidi Adeyemi of Oyo kingdom, Queen Aanu has confirmed her walking out of the marriage, explaining that she took the decision because she had all along been in bondage.
Penpushing reports that, there had been rumour of her exit from the place for quite sometime, and this was finally confirmed by the ex-queen in her Instragram page with over 60,000 followers across the globe.
The mother of two explained that she left the union because she can no longer continue to live in bondage, and also alleged that following her exit from the palace, she is being threatened and constantly harassed by the monarch.
Penpushing further reports that, the estranged Oloori who earlier in an interview said she not only loves her husband, (Alaafin), but worships him as a god, however, warned that if anything happened to her and her children, the public should hold the monarch responsible.
“This is an outcry to protect my life. That I left the palace should not warrant a threat to my life. I can never deny my children the right to their father; however, it is only motherly to have them with me’, she said.
“I am appaled that my family is being harassed because my location is unknown to the king. The attempt to also have me kidnapped failed, and I can no longer keep my silence. I refuse to live in bondage and will do anything within my human right to be free. I just want to live and be the mother of my children,” she wrote.
The 23-year-old queen who welcomed the monarch’s third set of twins in 2018, also said her life and that of her family is under threat in a statement posted on her official Instagram account on Thursday morning which she also tagged the police in her statement.
Penpushing also reports that, the queen would be publicly confirming speculations that she had walked out of her marriage of barely five years, alleging that the traditional ruler attempted kidnapping her but failed and declared that she no longer wants to be in bondage.
The Palace Public Relations Officer, Bode Durojaiye when contacted was quoted saying that, he was shock to hear the news, and gave assurance that, he would endeavour to find true position on the development.
‘‘I am very shocked to hear this. I will have to find out the true situation and get back to you before the end of today,’’ Durojaiye was quoted saying
