
Don’t behold restructuring as a sectional agenda, Sarafa Ishola tells Nigerians
The immediate past Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola, has stated that Nigerians should not behold restructuring as a sectional agenda.
Penpushing reports that Ishola stated this while speaking as the Chairman at the 7th anniversary lecture of Penpushing Media, owner of online newspaper and television, held in Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital
The former Minister at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in the town, venue of the well packaged and attended ceremony explained that rather it must be embraced as a national rebirth strategy to address some of the challenges hindering effective management of the country.

Penpushing further reports that he added that the country’s current federalism is adopted in principle but suffers in practice and neither delivers the autonomy expected by the federating units nor promotes the developmental competition required for national growth.
The Governorship hopeful in Ogun State at the forthcoming 2027 election emphasised that true federalism is not only about devolution of power but about responsible governance, institutional clarity, fiscal equity, and citizen-driven accountability.
Penpushing also reports that the founder of Penpushing Media, Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji earlier in his welcome speech explained that the essence of the annual lecture is aimed at elevating conversation around issues that could further enhance the greatness of the country.
The media practitioner disclosed that the media outlet, which is the first online newspaper to start operations in Abeokuta, the town where journalism started in Nigeria in 1859 said the organization has continued to grow in leaps and bound.

Penpushing reports that he added that the establishment has been contributing significantly to changing the narrative of the country through qualitative reportage and offering philanthropic gestures that are deliberately designed to uplift humanity.
The founder explained that Penpushing Media as part of its policy, has trained over mass communication undergraduates from various tertiary institution, to contribute to their growth in the profession
Penpushing further reports that he explained that in addition to the developmental growth of the undergraduates the media organization has equally instituted an annual award honour for the best graduating mass communication students in the higher institutions.
