After N5million ransom payment: Kidnappers kill Ladoke Akintola University student

The kidnappers who abducted Rachael Opadele, a student of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso in Oyo State have killed her alongside a hotelier, Olugbenga Owolabi; and one other after receiving ransom from the family.
Penpushing reports that, the undergraduate, said to be working in an hotel, following the unresolved nationwide strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), was abducted alongside the two others on Friday in Ogbomoso.
The family source said the victims were shot dead on Tuesday by their abductors after collecting N5 million as ransom, while a motorcyclist who carried the family member with the ransom to the designated spot in the bush, was also killed, but the carrier of the ransom narrowly escaped with injuries.
Penpushing further reports that, the source said as at the time of filing this report, the ransom carrier was rushed to the hospital, where he was said to be receiving treatment, adding that the abductors shot dead the trio in anger, when they noticed the presence of soldiers within the university axis
The Oyo State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, as at the time of filing this report was yet to confirm nor deny the incident, but gave assurance that he would later make official statement
