Afenifere leader, Reuben Fasoranti steps down
The National leader of Pan –Yoruba Socio-Political Group, Pa Reuben Fasoranti has stepped down from office, citing old age as reasons, just as Chief Ayo Adebanjo was announced as the association’s new Acting National leader.
Penpushing reports that, the 95 year old Yoruba elder statesman said the decision became necessary as the group needs “to have an improved organisation with a more effective approach to combat the monstrous invasion of our culture and pride as a people’.
The nonagenarian who lost his daughter in 2019 after suspected herdsmen shot and killed her along the Ondo-Ore road said, “only a more alike and active leadership can achieve this. At 95 I am hardly able to provide such and so it is time for me to step aside.”
Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, the aged Fasoranti could not be reach for further reaction over the development, but sources said arrangements were on going by the association to officially announced the new leadership
