ADMISSION OF RETURNEES TO ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS MUST COME THROUGH WARDS. GOVERNOR ABIODUN DECLARES

However, it is recalled that, the former Governor, Ibikunle Amosun whose suspension was recently lifted by the party national leadership is expected to return to the party after he might have mend fences with the state leadership from the ward level, but his return was yet to be made formal as at the time of this report.

Penpushing further reports that, the incumbent Governor who is the leader of the party in the State, apparently in reaction to the development at the ceremony held in front of Alake Palace, Abeokuta, emphasized that no returnees would be admitted without being re-register from the wards.

‘We won’t allow back door entry, you cannot enter through the back door, you cannot enter through the window. We are one, no faction. Let us embark on regular meetings from our wards. Politics has started’,Abiodun declared.

The Governor declared that All Progressives Party, APC, remained the only existing party in the state, boasting that any other party is counterfeit, stressing that the happenings in the state are attestation to that.

‘There is no any other party in Ogun State, the atmosphere in the state is attestation to this. We are joining hands to build the future of our state together. We must appreciate each other. We have lots of positions to give sense of belongings to all. Any other party in Ogun State is counterfeit, and it is obvious’,Abiodun said.

The Governor called on members not to discriminate against new members, stressing that he does not want to hear of any discrimination, rather everybody should be accommodated, assuring that nobody will be left out

‘There are no new entrants; I don’t want to hear any discrimination. We must appreciate each other. We have lots of positions to give out and give sense of belongings. We are joining hands to build the future of Ogun State together’.

Penpushing also reports that the Chairman of the party in the State, Chief Yemi Sanusi , earlier in his welcome address, who later handed over the party flags to Makanjuola-Badru and Isiaka noted that it was a worthy occasion, adding that, ’it is a matter of joy to welcome pillar and corner of PDP and ADC’

‘Today is another milestone of Ogun State politics. APC door is still wide open. APC is government of all inclusive government’, Sanusi emphasized, adding that thre was need to join hand with the party administration in moving the party to greater height.

The South-West Secretary of the party, Ayo Afolabi in his goodwill message, said the ceremony was another trail brazer in the state, adding that Governor Abiodun has live to expectation, having brought all politicians together under All Progressives Congress, (APC).

Penpushing reports Afolabi predicted that, with the development, Ogun State will be the first state in Nigeria to have one party, and also congratulated leadership of the party for the feat, as well as the new comers into the party.
