Elder statesman, Joju Fadairo confirms attendance as father of day at 7th Penpushing Media Anniversary Lecture

An elder statesman and accomplished businessman Chief (Dr) Joju Fadairo has confirmed to attend the 7th anniversary lecture of Penpushing Media as father of the day, at event scheduled to hold on July 31, 2025.

Penpushing reports that the editorial board and planning committee of the anniversary in a statement said Fadairo has graciously agreed to be part of the event scheduled to take place at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.

The statement added that Fadairo, who is a member, British Institute of Management, commended Penpushing Media, owner of online newspaper and television for adding value to journalism globally, which has earned the media outlet to be reckon with, and equally become a household name in journalism world

Penpushing further reports that the astute politician, work experience began in 1962 at Niger Pool, Apapa, Lagos where he worked as a Clerk, later left in 1963 to work as a Stenographer at G. L. Grazer, Apapa till 1964.

The profile has it that between 1964 and 1965, he also worked as a Stenographer at Nigerian Steel Construction Company Limited, Apapa, and was Secretary at the Library of University of Lagos Medical School, Idi-Araba from 1966 to 1967.

Penpushing also reports that afterwards, he worked as Administrative Officer at African-American Institute, Lagos between 1967 and 1971 and became the General Manager, Kampsax (Nig) Ltd, Apapa, Lagos between 1974 and 1979.

The Fiwagbayi of Egbaland determined to make his mark, went into private business in 1979 and thereafter established several companies and these companies were involved in construction, engineering, manufacturing, exploration, mining, mineral processing and industrial chemicals.

Penpushing reports that he remains the Chairman and Director of some of these companies till date, and has served the country in various capacities, which include former Chairman, Governing Council, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos; member, Jos University Teaching Hospital; member, Board of Directors, Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation, Abeokuta; and former Chairman, Wrought Iron (Nigeria) Ltd, a member of Odu’a Group of Companies.

The elder statement, who is Asiwaju of Ifoland, and a former Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ogun State, holds membership of several learned societies which include Nigerian Institute of Management; Institute of Directors, Nigeria.

Penpushing further reports that he is a member of Fellow, Certified Institute of Nigerian Economists; Fellow, Institute of Supervision and Leadership, Nigeria and Fellow, Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics, Ghana.

The octogenarian also belongs to different social clubs, including Ikeja Lions Club, Abeokuta Club, Lisabi Elite Club of Nigeria, Abeokuta Sports Club, Ifo Club, Egba Pentagon Club, Lagos Country Club and Mace Club of Nigeria, has been honoured with several awards.
