Accident claims four lives on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

An accident involving a Lexus RX 350 marked KTU 738 HM and a Mack truck with registration number T 21024 LA, at a spot close to Mountain Top University on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway has claimed lives of four persons on Saturday.

Penpushing reports that, the Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State Command Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident to journalists adding that two others sustained varying degrees of injuries

The Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said that the accident occurred at 4.53 a.m. explaining that the accident was caused by excessive speed and the use of a phone while driving, adding that as at the time of filing this report the corpses  of the victims  had being  deposited at the Real Divine Hospital morgue, Ibafo.

Penpushing further reports that Okpe said the Sector Commander of the Corps, Ahmed Umar, has  cautioned motorists on the use of phones while driving and the dangers associated with such, and also commiserated with the families of the victims and advised them to contact Federal Road Safety Corps(FRSC) Ibafo command for more information on the crash.
