ABIOLA’S DAUGHTER, ADERINSOLA EYES HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES SEAT
‘For the past three years, I have worked as a Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara. I have keenly observed parliamentary proceedings and if elected, the experience garnered will enable me get to work immediately without needing to first ‘learn the ropes’.”
The female active politician who attributed her candidacy to the recently enacted Not Too Young To Run law, lamented the “absolute lack of representation of youths and women in the Ogun State caucus of the National Assembly”.
She described the lack of representation as a travesty and explained that a “transition from tokenism to meaningful inclusion” can only be achieved if more young people, like her, utilize the new law by running for office.
Abiola, called for support while also pledging to focus on healthcare, agriculture, youth and women empowerment, and restructuring through constitution amendment, just as preliminary reports showed that the Action Democratic Party(ADP) primaries may hold this week.
