Abeokuta hosts media executives, as Osoba chairs conference
Abeokuta, Ogun State Capital is set to host media executives on a summit organized by The Journalism Clinic (TJC) which is scheduled to hold between May 6 and 7, 2024, and has veteran journalist and former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba to chair the conference.
Penpushing reports that a statement by the Founder and Director of Journalism Clinic, Taiwo Obe explained that the summit is the second edition, and endorsed by the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria (NPAN).
The statement added that no fewer than 60 Nigerian Media Leaders’ from across the broad spectrum of the Nigerian newspaper will be attending the summit, which is supported by Lagos State Government, Nigeria LNG Limited, Central Bank of Nigeria, Punch Nigeria Limited, Cable Newspapers and UAC Foods among others
Penpushing further reports that Obe in the statement stated that the event, is coming nearly five years to when the first was held, and that the latest edition will take place at the Academy Suites, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The Journalism Clinic Director in the statement disclosed that Penpushing Media has been assigned to handle local coordination of the conference, which has the theme, “In pursuit of products, profits and more’.
‘With huge support and partnerships from, among others, the Lagos State Government, Nigeria LNG Limited, Central Bank of Nigeria, Punch Nigeria Limited, The Cable Newspapers and UAC Foods, we are able to hold the summit with the theme, “In pursuit of products, profits and more.”
‘The revered veteran journalist and a former governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba is the Summit Chairman while NPAN President Mallam Kabir Yusuf, is expected to deliver an opening remark. Obr and 10 others with depth in their niches will make presentations around the theme’, he stated.
