31 year old food vendor needs N10million to cheat death, as chronic ulcer hits leg

Fatimoh Bolanle Muritala, a 31-year-old food vendor from Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State is now battling between life and death following a chronic large leg ulcer which has kept her in a serious dilemma for over six years now.

Penpushing reports that, the troubled lady narrating her ordeal said she experiences severe pain throughout the day and she is now appealing to kind-hearted Nigerians to help save her life as  she needs  the sum of N10million to survive, adding, “there is no kind of pain relief medicine that I don’t have”.

The mother of the Kwara State born caterer recalled that her daughter’s problems started when she had an accident on a motorcycle in 2015 while returning home, and was rushed to General Hospital.

Penpushing further reports that, the mother, Adamo Muritala said Fatimoh was admitted in the hospital, adding that at a point the family could not bear the cost again, hence the hospital management stopped further treatment, a development which worsened her condition

‘That is what Fatimoh has been going through for the past six years. To her, it is as if the world had come to an end, considering the complications that followed the venous disease’, the woman lamented.

The mother who is a widow explained that she never depended on anybody to cater for her family since her husband’s death in 2013, saying that the ailment had reduced her to a pauper.

Penpushing reports that, she pointed out that, in the last six years of  Fatimoh’s ordeal, she never bothered anybody, but this time around, said she has no choice but to solicit for financial support for the innocent lady

‘I am begging Nigerians to come to her aid since the ailment had grown bigger than what she and her children could handle alone. Everybody, except God, has abandoned me. My brothers, sisters, friends, and in-laws have all abandoned me. They said my daughter will die. I am only living by the grace of God. Please, come and save me,” she pleaded.

The disturbed mother said the weekly drugs have rendered her family bankrupt, and appealed to government, corporate bodies, non- government organisations, religious groups and individuals to assist her raise the money for a successful surgery at General Hospital, Abeokuta.

Penpushing also reports that, the patient with a defect skin below the level of knee is passionately calling on government, corporate organizations and individuals to come to her support, crying that her leg is almost at the stage of final destruction.

The Consultant at the General Hospital confirmed the chronic leg ulcer and recommended that a surgery should be carried out to solve the problem, which is estimated to cost N10million, to save the patient from her plights.

Penpushing reports that, a family friend, Mr Funmilayo Oluwaseun David, publisher of Bold Oracle Media Foundation, also said it had not been easy for the family and called on philanthropists and good spirited Nigerians to come to Fatimoh’s aid.

Penpushing further reports that, sources in the hospital explained that chronic ulceration of the lower legs is a relatively common condition amongst adults, one that causes pain and social distress..
