Ajimobi’s burial to follow nigeria centre for disease control guidelines, says aide

The late former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi will be buried in accordance with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines, just as the family shifted the burial earlier scheduled for Friday morning.
Penpushing reports that, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy to the deceased, Bolaji Tunji made this known on Friday while speaking with journalists at the Oluyole private residence of the late politician in Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.
The Special Adviser explained that, “the funeral arrangements will be announced soon by the family, but it will be observed privately so as to be in accordance with the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines.
Penpushing further reports that, the media aide, however appealed to sympathizers to continue following Nigerian Centre for Disease Control,(NCDC) guidelines by washing their hands, using face mask, and keeping social distancing, among others.
The former Governor and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) was reported to have died on Thursday after a long battle with coronavirus complications at a private Hospital in Lagos.
The deceased had been in intensive care for coronavirus complications,, and was about a week ago rumoured to have died at the Lagos State private hospital, but the rumour which spread like wildfire was later debunked by family and associates.
Penpushing reports that, Ajimobi until his death was in his 70’s, and was a Senator from 2003 to 2007, and latest elected Oyo State Governor in 2011 and re-elected in 2015, becoming the first Governor of the State to serve two terms in the state
