Suspected herdsmen kill hunter, injure one in Ogun state

Penpushing reports that, the group of hunters sighted the suspected armed herdsmen in a bush, where they hybernated for suspected kidnapping mission, and tactically mobilized themselves to diffuse their suspected strike.

The two of the hunters group known to be working in collaboration with vigilante group and police to fight crimes within the vicinity, on disembarking from the motorcycle that took them to hideout of the suspected criminals, were rained with bullets by the suspects.

Penpushing further reports that, bullet hit Oke on the neck, who died on the spot, while his colleague narrowly escaped death but sustained gun shot injuries, and had quick dialogue with his leg to escape from the scene, while the alleged killers thereafter made away with the deceased dane gun, his mobile phone and other personal effects.

The suspected killers escaped from the scene, and could not be trace as at the time of filing this report, while the case was reported at Lafenwa Divisional Police Headquarters, and the Divisional Police Officer led his team to the scene to ascertain level of the crime to take further action.

Penpushing also reports that, the corpse of the victim,who is in his late 40’s with two wives and children were later taken to the family compound in Isaga Orile town, and buried at about 5pm according to Islamic rites.

The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi when contacted confirmed the incident, saying it was unfortunate, adding that investigation was ongoing as at the time of filing this report
