2019: NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES DAPO ABIODUN AS AUTHENTIC GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE OF OGUN ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS

He explained that the declaration of Prince Dapo Abiodun winner  of the primary, qualifies him as the party Governorship flagbearer in the forthcoming general elections in 2019 and “subject to ratification by the National Working Committee” of the party.

The Committee boss, while speaking with journalists said, the earlier results announced by a faction of the party, led by Chief Derin Adebiyi declaring Adekunle Akinlade as the party Governorship Candidate was null and void.

Penpushing recalled that, Akinlade was produced by the faction said to be loyalists of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who the other faction had earlier alleged of imposing him on the party, without the consent of other stakeholders within the party

Penpushing reports that, the electoral umpire declared that the committee set up by the National body of the party, was “not aware of such primary.”, emphasisng that the  Committee he led, is the “authentic body constituted by the NWC” to conduct and supervise Governorship primary in the State in line with the party guidelines and constitution.
