2019: GOVERNOR AMOSUN AGAIN CALLS BLUFF OF ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS LEADEERSHIP, INSISTS HIS CHOICE GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE WILL CONTEST

Penpushing also recalled that, there had been rumour that the Governor and his supporters were planning to defect to another party, but has since debunked the speculation, but confirmed that there had being pressure on him to dump All Progressives Congress (APC).

However, to the dismay of stakeholders and electorates in the State, the Governor in another statement on Friday boasted that, his choice candidate will contest under the party, and will also win the election in 2019.

The Governor in a statement by his Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Otunba  Adedayo Adeneye, said he remained committed to the party, stressing that, “I restate my unwavering commitment and total support for the mandate freely and expressly given to Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade’.

“For the avoidance of doubt, I remain committed to our great party, APC, and I stand with and for our leader, President Muhammadu Buhari. I am in no doubt that come 29 May, 2019, the Almighty God will make Mr. President triumph, and ensure that I hand over the reins of governance of our great State to the popular choice of majority of our people, Hon. Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade.

Amosun expressed deep appreciation to stakeholders, party members, loyalists and well wishers, far and near, for their immense show of love and support to him and indeed all members of the APC family in Ogun State.

‘We do not take this for granted and pray that all of us, and our dear state, Ogun, will come out of this impasse stronger, victorious and far more united. I call on the entire people of Ogun State to remain calm, law-abiding and prayerful. We are set for victory”, he stated.
