17.5 million Nigerian children lack medical, educational care – Life Support Network

An Ibadan-based Non Governmental Organization(ngo), Life Support Network has revealed on Saturday that no fewer than 17.5 million children in Nigeria are not having access to proper health and education facilities
Penpushing reports that the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of the organisation, Miss Itunuoluwa Ajayi, who reeled out the statistics from a report of the international organisation while delivering her speech during the 2020 admission of new international volunteer into the organization titled; “Nigeria, towards Rebirth of our Collective Destiny” said 13 percent of Nigerians has been rendered homeless in recent times due to poverty.
The Chief Executive Officer lamented the prevalence rate of poverty in Nigeria, especially in the northern part of the country saying it has led to deep anger and disgust among Nigerians.
Penpushing further reports that, Ajayi pointed out that most Nigerians are poor because they are not earning good money, urging government to creating job opportunity to tackle the high level of unemployment in the country.
The Officer while speaking on the role of herorganisation in alleviating the suffering of the masses, said Life Support Network is giving life to the less privileged who are below average, orphanages, and children roaming around the street.
Penpushing also reports that, on the challenges facing Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO), Ajayi said “major challenges facing us is finance. We want government at all levels to support us because there is limit to what volunteers can contribute to our work’..
The Non Governmental Organisation(NGO) boss, therefore urged all the newly inaugurated volunteers to ensure they are committed to the job, saying soul saving is their business.
