
100 Ogun state residents join kayode akinmade at homestead, Idanre to bury father
About 100 residents of Ogun State followed the Special Adviser on Communication to Ogun State Governor, Kayode Akinmade to his hometown of Idanre in Ondo State for the burial of his father Chief Moses Akinmade held on Saturday February 15, 2025.
Penpushing reports that the team arrived the ancient town on Friday which was the commencement day for the final journey of the family patriarch, an icon and Obamoluwa of Idanre Kingdom located in Idanre local government area of Ondo State.
The burial ceremony started with wake keep held at the family compound situated at Odode axis of the ancient town and had in attendance thousands of guests to grace the occasion, which also attracted cultural display in honour of the deceased.
Penpushing further reports that Ogun State team include the Head of Service, Kehinde Onasanya, Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, Special Advisers/Assistants, professional bodies, civil sociétés organisations, media managers, civil servants and journalist among others

The late Akinmade, a known socialite popularly called Ance Manager, it is recalled died peacefully on August 5, 2025 at ripe age of 98, and survived by a wife, illustrious children, grandchildren and great grandchildren
Penpushing reports that the funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Palace Way, located on top of a rock in Odode-Idanre, with order of service which include processional hymn, prayer, short biograph about the deceased and Bible reading.
The order of programme at the church service include song ministration, sermon, thanksgiving, special prayer for the family and congregation, recessional hymn and interment at the grave side situated within the church premises.
Penpushing further reports that the preacher, Reverend Samson Odeyinka who titled his sermon” What will you leave behind in this life of vanity” with reference from the book of 1 Timothy chapter 6 and verses 6 to 10 said since no man brought nothing to this world, it’s expected that nothing would be taken back when the time to return to the creator comes.
Penpushing also reports that the cleric urged everyone to use his acquired wealth on earth for the transformation of his community, society, the needy and the nation at large citing the example of Tabithar in the book of Acts chapter 9 and verse 36 to 39.
The Ogun State Head of Service who spoke on behalf of Governor Dapo Abiodun described the deceased as a peaceful and a devout Christian who has left a good legacy for his children and congratulated the children for surviving their father and charged them to keep the flag flying by upholding the good legacies that their father left behind.
Penpushing reports that the Governor pointed out that the late father, grandfather and great grandfather was an embodiment of virtues, a devout Christian a consummate politician, a community leader and rally point for developmental programmes
“Baba Akinmade was an embodiment of virtues, a devout Christian a consummate politician, a community leader and builder and a rallying point for developmental programmes in Idanre his home town and the State at large and he impacted his people positively”, Abiodun stated.
Penpushing further reports that the train of the ceremony was thereafter moved to a secondary school playing ground in the town for reception, where guests in aso ebi, from far and near were entertained, while the popular Tungba Musician Yinka Ayefele was on band stand
The Special Adviser while responding on behalf of the family thanked the people for the show of love in standing with the family to give their late father a befitting burial, which include over fifty guests from Ogun State to be part of the ceremony.
