100 ARRESTED OVER VIOLENT CLASH IN LAGOS

The State Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), Mohammed Ali, who confirmed the arrest said the leaders of the two groups were meeting with state Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, with a view to resolving their conflict amicably.

He said nobody was killed in the clash adding that the situation has been brought under control, with affirmation that, “our men will be here until total peace is restored,”.

However, vulcanizer in the area who identified himself as Adesina said, “we don’t really know what caused the crisis. We were surprised to see people scampering. It started on Thursday but the police brought the situation under control.
