Zenith Labour Party chieftain, Adepoju joins Peoples Democratic Party

Former House of Representative candidate under the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in 2019 general election in Oyo State, Dr. Adebayo Adepoju has dumped  the party to join Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),

Penpushing reports that Adepoju, who is currently the Executive Chairman, Water Cooperation of Oyo State, together with other decamped  on Wednesday in Igboora, the headquarters of Ibarapa central/Ibarapa North federal constituency of Oyo State.

The politician justifying his action said, he took the decision based on the achievements of Governor Seyi Makinde since his assumption of office, stressing that someone will want to joined the success to further take the state to its glorious destination

“Am happy for today’s event because we have in attendance people of great minds in the whole of Ibarapa land who have decided to come together to work for the progress of Oyo State so as to take the state to a greater heights’

Penpushing further reports that, Adepoju noted that the uniqueness of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) makes it different from other parties, saying that what the current administration  is doing is worthy to be emulated

“Governor Makinde has tried in all sectors since his inception as the governor of the state, and these are what makes other states across the federation to be following the footsteps of the governor’.

Penpushing also reports that the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Debo Ogundoyin in his remarks, described Adepoju as an exemplary son of Ibarapa land who has been contributing his quota for the development of the state.

The Speaker, however appreciated the support giving to the administration under Makinde by the people of Ibarapa, calling on them to give necessary support to the reconciliation committee currently going on in the party so that it can yield a meaningful result

Penpushing reports that the chairman of the Oyo South Senatorial District, Sir Samuel Olawuwo said that the government is ready to address all the needs of the people, and called for unity for all stakeholders.

“We need to unite so that enemy will not divided us, all the party leaders are already in talks with the aggrieved party members so as to bring them into one fold, let us all be in love to move this great party to a greater height’

Meanwhile, dignitaries at the event include: the representative of the Oyo State Governor, Mr Seye Makinde, Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Seun Fakorede, Commissioner for Special Duty, Hon. Funmilayo Orisadeyi, Special Adviser to Governor  on Disabilities, Barrister. Adekanbi, Hon. James Olukunle, Sir, Samuel Olawiwo, and Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi among others.
