Wasiu Ayinde pledges donation of studio for college of broadcasting Abeokuta

The popular fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde known as K1 De Ultimate has pledged to provide studio for College of Broadcasting, an affiliate of Crescent University, Abeokuta, which is the initiative of the Freelance Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN)

Penpushing reports that, Ayinde made the pledge publicly at a programme organized by the association tagged, ’Time Out With Broadcasters’, held at events centre located within the premises of Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, to honour him.

The Talazo music creator assured that he would encourage and mobilize his friends and loyalists across the globe to be part of the laudable project, just as he also declared November 30 every year as Freelance Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) Day.

Penpushing further reports that Ayinde at the venue announced opening of a joint bank account in the name of Wasiu Ayinde and Freelance Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) for donations towards the project.

The renowned musician declared that the studio for the college is a done affairs, and that he would personally be presented when it is to be commissioned in due course, adding that work on the project will start soonest.

‘Mark my words, I am going to be involved in the studio project. We are going to open account in the name of Wasiu Ayinde and Freelance Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria. I am going to encourage, persuade my friends and loyalists across the globe to support the project’, he emphaised

‘And I want to say this openly I profusely appreciate honour bestowed on me by the Freelance Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria. I am convinced that, I am part of you, and on this note, I want to declare every November 30 as FIBAN day’, Ayinde added

Penpushing reports that, Freelance Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) before the take off of the College of Broadcasting had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Crescent University Abeokuta, as an affiliate of the ivory tower.

The first set of its students were on Monday November 29, 2021 matriculated in the presence of the top management staff of the Crescent University led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Ibraheem Gbajabiamila

Penpushing further reports that Ogun State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon Kunle Oluomo was Chairman of the occasion, while the Executive Secretary Broadcasting Commission of Nigeria (BON), Dr Yemisi Bamgbose was the guest lecturer who spoke on the theme. ’Maximizing Alternative Media for Good Governance and National Security” Possibilities and Challenges

The notable dignitaries at the occasion include: Vice Chancellor Crescent University, Prof Ibraheem Gbajabiamila, Dr Yemisi Bamgbose, Executive Secretary of Broadcasting Commission of Nigeria (BON), Prince Lanre Tejuosho, Desmond Nwachukwu (President Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria),Gbenga  Adebayo-Oladunni(Veteran broadcaster), Goke Babalola(Veteran Broadcaster) and Femi Omilani(Chairman, Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter)

The other personalities include: Dele Ayodo(Chief Operating Officer, Roots FM, Oluremi Olugbenro (Head News and Current Affairs, Paramount FM, Abeokuta), Sade Adebimpe of Department of Mass communication, Crescent University, Abeokuta) Samson Akindele(General Manager  Fresh FM, Abeokuta) , Abiodun Lasile(Founder Sixsense) and Bola Olugbade of ICT Polytechnic, Saapade

Penpushing also reports that, management of College of Broadcasting in attendance at the colourful occasion include; Dr Ayoola Ajasa(Provost), Fatai Akinbola (Registrar),Oluwatobiloba Odetoyinbo(Academic Officer),Abiola Buhari(Administrative Officer) and Abeeb Junaid(Accountant)
