Washington-bound airline returns to Lagos as passenger develops ailment

A United Airlines plane flight number UA613 which departed Lagos around 12.10 a.m. Tuesday morning to return after about an hour, 30 minutes into the journey, following sudden ailment by one of the passengers.

Penpushing reports that the flight captain due to a medical emergency experienced by one of its passengers made an announcement for any medical personnel on board to identify themselves and potentially assist the affected passenger.

The captain shortly after, announced that the flight would have to return to Lagos as protection of lives was their priority, while the flight touched back down at its departure location around 2.26a.m.

Penpushing further reports that medical personnel were immediately dispatched on board and the affected passenger was deboarded for proper medical attention, and about an hour later, the flight was cancelled, and passengers were deboarded and promised to be taken to a hotel as at the tie of filing this report.
