UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN TO REVIEW SECURITY ARCHITECTURE AFTER ATTACKS ON HOSTELS

The Chairman said the bandits have shown a pattern in their operation by attacking female students during holidays when halls are sparsely populated, and two of such attacks were the Obafemi Awolowo female hostel which was attacked on July 11 and again invaded Abdulsalam Abubakar Hall of the University in the early hours of August 11.

Penpushing further reports that, the robbers reportedly tied up the security man on duty to have their way, while two male students who tried to obstruct their sinister mission received matchet cuts and have been treated at the university health centre.
